The next James Bond film by Connery was Goldfinger. It came out to be more matured with a stronger ‘Bond’ flavor and much brighter with the aura of prettier female artistes. Ian’s 007 agent was now the owner of an Aston Martin garnished with neat gadgets and built-in guns and the actor was given a more genial role this time.

Tangy Action
The action sequences are more dominant this time to give a lemony flavor to the entire movie. A really exciting fight sequence can be recalled between Bond and one of Goldfinger’s filthy accomplices. Also there is a long car chase shot, which screened Bond’s new Aston Martin along with all its accessory properties like firing the built-in gun, ejecting the passenger seat etc. The breath staking exhilaration had a never before feel altogether.

The Story
The purportedly legal gold bar dealer, Auric Goldfinger was decided to be kept under a strict watch by the British Secret Service. And no wonder this time also it was James Bond only to meet the needful. Bond’s hunt became more belligerent when he found the nude cadaver of a woman in his bed. Thus Goldfinger gave a hint of his grampus nature and it very much-involved James Bond in its killer intentions. But Goldfinger was clever enough to play a trick such that he decided to use Bond as a surety. Thus the tale now moves on to the sets of Kentucky where Goldfinger chalks out his cruel plans.

Sean As Charming As Ever
James Bond portrayed by the suave Sean is now facing a rather cleverer and adroit enemy of his, Goldfinger, played by Gert Frobe. The villain character has been so nicely reflected on the screen with all the possible negative traits a wicked and adjudicated avaricious man can have that Gert fits the role just in shape.

The Spying Oddjob
The superslasher Oddjob is a more of the antagonist type to Bond than his master Goldfinger. The cold and rowdy Korean servant of Goldfinger is a real threat to James Bond.

The Tough Bond Girl
Pussy Galore, playing the role of the Bond Girl actually did not at all portray a give-in kind of it. She is quite resistant to the killing and becharming Bond. But they manage to share a rather close moment however!

The Dialogues
The dialogue snips of Goldfinger are rather fabled. The shot when 007 was about to be castrated by a laser ray by Goldfinger had a really sarcastic exchange of words. “Do you expect me to talk?” asks Bond to get a compendious reply from Goldfinger like, ”No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!”

A bit doohickey than From Russia With Love, Goldfinger is a complete entertainment and can well be recalled as one of the best ‘Bond Movies’ made in Sean’s golden era.
