Hiker Misses Connery Call
08th August
Screen veteran SIR SEAN CONNERY called fellow Scot DAVID ROSS in order to wish him good luck on his 800 kilometre (500 mile) walk from Glasgow, Scotland to London - but Ross was too busy to speak to the star.
Ross, who was walking in tribute to legendary Scottish renegade WILLIAM WALLACE, was already on another call when the OSCAR-winning actor contacted him, but was thrilled to see he had left a message of support.
He says, "I was gutted. I couldn't believe I missed a call from Sir Sean.
"Then I realised that he had left a message on my phone. He wished me all the best and said he was very proud of me."
